Following a fire that severely damaged the property, this authentic stone house in the Morvan region underwent a complete renovation designed to unlock the site's full potential while honoring its history.
Landscape design:
The project focused on opening up the landscape: one of the two barns was demolished to reveal a view of the pond below. Remnant stone structures were preserved and integrated into the garden, now serving as planters and vegetable beds.
We also constructed a raised wooden deck adjoining the house, as well as a second terrace made of timber sleepers in the heart of the garden, shaded by a coconut-fiber sail.
The project extended to the restoration of an old fountain and the creation of a wooden jetty leading to the pond.
A project where heritage, landscape, and contemporary living converge to breathe new life into an exceptional setting.
