Meet the world of Salvador Dali

In November 2023, the IDO Jardins team had the chance to visit two legendary places in Spain: Dali's theater-museum in Figueres, not far from Barcelona and Dali's house in Portlligat near Cadaqués.
The museum:

The Salvador Dali Museum is dedicated to the work of the famous surrealist artist. Inaugurated in 1974, it is built on the remains of the old municipal theater destroyed at the end of the civil war. It houses an extensive collection of Dali's works, including iconic paintings, sculptures and jewelry, offering a captivating journey through his eccentric imagination and creative genius.
The house:
Salvador Dalí's house (from image 10), was his main residence until the death of his wife Gala in 1982. This picturesque location offers an intimate glimpse into his life, with its atypical spaces and artistic curiosities unique, reflecting the fascinating world of Dalí. We can only be captivated by the surrounding landscapes; a bay surrounded by mountains, which inspired the artist on a daily basis.
