Discovery of an extraordinary garden in New Zealand

A garden at the end of the world, 2019

This garden located near Queenstown in New Zealand was created by José Becwart on approximately two hectares right next to a large lake originating from a glacier.

Why is this garden extraordinary?

The wetland allowed a exceptional plant development. Many structures and sculptures have been added over the years. Moreover all one water path comprising of many pools segment the spaces.

Since about five years, we exchange José and I on the various arrangements and plantations that he could bring to complete his garden.

So at the end of 2019, I went to see him and we worked together for a week to plant new varieties of perennials and grasses coming from all over the world.
